Essential December 2025 Business Tax Deadlines

As the year draws to a close, December brings critical business tax deadlines such as corporate estimated tax payments and the last monthly payroll tax deposits. It's also a crucial period to wrap up year-end financial activities before the final business day of the year.

December 15 - Corporate Estimated Taxes

Corporations operating on a calendar year must submit the fourth installment of their estimated tax for 2025 by this date. Ensure your financial operations team is prepared to meet this deadline.

December 15 - Employer Tax Deposits

For employers adhering to the monthly deposit rules, December 15 is the due date for depositing Social Security, Medicare, and withheld income tax for November 2025. This deadline also applies to nonpayroll withholding deposits for November, if applicable under the monthly deposit schedules.

December 31 - Final Yearly Actions

As December 31 marks the end of the fiscal year, ensure any necessary actions are completed prior, especially since some financial institutions may not be operational on that day. It is advisable to execute year-end tasks earlier to avoid last-minute complications.
